One Down....

Fred had his first chemo treatment today and it went well. He started some new pain medication yesterday that is making him much more comfortable. I was the one that came home and took a nap this afternoon. He was the Energizer Bunny, heading off to the store as soon as we got home. He is napping now for a few minutes before supper.

Tonight I am going to a Good Friday service at church. It is hard to believe that Easter Weekend is here already.

Thanks for all your cards, thoughts and prayers.

Taking the chemo treatments in Anchorage is good news for sure. It is my understanding that chemo is pretty effective in prostate cancer cases now--it wasn't available 12 years ago. It sounds like Fred is feeling as well as can be expected. My thoughts are with you. Uncle Cleo

Fred and Marie,
[second try]
Happy Easter. We have been reading your blog periodically, thinking of both of you and remembering fondly our visit to Alaska several years ago. Spring is in full swing here in the bay area with trees flowering and the tulips up. I am sure you are looking forward to longer days and the growing season there too. We are thinking of you often and sending lots of positive energy your direction. Keep up the hard work.
Love,

Hello from Brazil, Nice to have internet access when I'm in Manaus. Phil left yesterday for his construction trip. Be assured of our continuing prayers. And yes, I looked at the blogs of our beautiful grandchildren. They keep ya smiling, huh? Love to you, Sis
